29-year-old woman among 11 more die due to covid-19, J&K toll 1415

Srinagar, Oct 22(: A 29-year-old woman was among eleven persons who lost battle to covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir in last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

Among the victims, they said, seven were residents of Kashmir Valley and three to Jammu division, taking the fatality count 1415.

Regarding deaths from the Valley, they said, a 55-year-old woman from Lal Bazar died at SKIMS Soura, nine days after she was admitted there.

A 29-year-old woman from Watlar Ganderbal also died at SKIMS Soura, a day after admitted at the tertiary care hospital.

The other fatalities include a 70-year-old man from Gurez Bandipora, a 95-year-old from Natipora Srinagar, a 75-year-old man from Alamgari Bazar Srinagar, a 70-year-old from Bagimehtab Chattergam Budgam, and a 65-year-old man from Dhobi Mohalla Srinagar
Those who died in Jammu division include three from winter capital of the J&K and one from Doda district.

With these deaths, the fatality count has reached 947 in Valley and 468 in Jammu region.

Srinagar district with 341 deaths tops the list followed by Jammu (243), Baramulla (137), Budgam (91), Pulwama (79), Kupwara (71), Anantnag (71), Kulgam (46), Bandipora(43), Rajouri (45), Doda (43), Shopian (35), Ganderbal (32), Kathua (30), Udhampur (27), Samba (25), Poonch (22), Kishtwar(14), Ramban (12), and Reasi (7).
