The Government on Friday informed that 565 new positive cases of novel Corona virus (COVID-19), 327 from Jammu division and 238 from Kashmir division, have been reported today thus taking the total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 108871. Also 08 COVID-19 deaths have been reported; 05 from Jammu division and 03 from Kashmir Division.
Moreover,596 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 200 from Jammu Division and 396 from Kashmir Division.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Corona virus (Covid-19), out of 108871 positive cases, 5236 are Active Positive, 101959 have recovered and 1676 have died; 579 in Jammu division and 1097 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 2940302 test results available, 2831431 samples have been tested as negative till November 27, 2020.
Till date 782712 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 20275 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 5236 in isolation and 43432 in home surveillance. Besides, 712093 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup, the Bulletin said that Srinagar has 22796 positive cases (including 88 cases reported today) with 1239 Active Positive, 21141 recovered (including 153 cases recovered today), 416 deaths; Baramulla has 7380 positive cases (including 35 cases reported today) with 388 Active Positive, 6831 recovered (including 45 cases recovered today), 161 deaths; Pulwama reported 5057 positive cases (including 21 case reported today) with 156 active positive cases, 4815 recovered (including 15 cases recovered today), 86 deaths; Kulgam has 2590 positive cases (including 05 case reported today) with 52 Active Positive, 2488 recoveries (including 08 cases recovered today), 50 deaths; Shopian has 2388 positive cases (including 06 case reported today) with 78 Active Positive, 2223 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today) and 37 deaths; Anantnag district has 4527positive cases (including 08 cases reported today) with 123 Active Positive, 4326 recovered (including 08cases recovered today), 78 deaths; Budgam has 6827 positive cases (including 23 cases reported today) with 286 Active Positive and 6441 recovered (including 43 cases recovered today), 100 deaths; Kupwara has 5162 positive cases (including 29 cases reported today) with 424 Active Positive, 4656 recovered (including 52 cases recovered today), 82 deaths; Bandipora has 4383 positive cases (including 09 cases reported today) with 136 Active Positive, 4197 recovered (including 23 cases recovered today), 50 deaths and Ganderbal has 4163 positive cases (including 14 cases reported today) with 202 active positive cases, 3924recoveries (including 44 cases recovered today)and 37 deaths.
Similarly, Jammu has20345 positive cases (including 142 cases reported today) with 625 active positive cases, 19424 recoveries (including 87 cases recovered today), 296 deaths; Rajouri has 3413 positive cases (including 19 cases reported today) with 98 active positive cases, 3266 recovered (including 07 cases recovered today), 49 deaths; Ramban has 1894 positive cases (including 13 cases reported today) with 106 active positive, 1770 recoveries (including 31 cases recovered today) and 18 deaths; Kathua has 2748 positive cases (including 17 cases reported today) with 90 Active positive, 2622 recovered (including 05 cases recovered today), 36 deaths; Udhampur has 3482 positive cases (including 49 cases reported today) with 442 active positive cases, 2993 recovered (including 22 cases recovered today) and 47 deaths; Samba has 2430 positive cases (including 15 cases reported today) with 160 Active Positive, 2239 recoveries and 31 deaths; Doda has 3066 positive cases (including 36 cases reported today) with 240 active positive cases, 2771 recoveries (including 16 cases recovered today), 55 deaths; Poonch has 2387 positive cases (including 01cases reported today) with 64 active positive, 2301 recoveries (including 11 cases recovered today), 22 deaths; Reasi has 1448 positive cases with 77 active positive, 1362 recoveries and 09 deaths while Kishtwar has 2435 positive cases (including 28 cases reported today) with 250 active positive cases and 2169 recoveries (including 04 cases recovered today) and 16 deaths.
According to the bulletin, among the total 108871 positive cases in J&K, 10689 have been reported as travellers while 98182 as others.
The Bulletin said that the breakup represents districts from which the patients have been traced or are ordinarily residing.
The bulletin added that there are 1306 COVID dedicated beds, 1170 Isolation beds with 990 vacant beds and 136 ICU beds where 75 beds are vacant in Jammu division while there are 2345 COVID dedicated beds, 2197 Isolation beds where 1738 beds are vacant and 148 ICU beds where 119 are vacant beds in Kashmir division. There are total of 3651 COVID dedicated beds, 3367 Isolation beds with 2728 beds vacant and 284 ICU beds with 194 vacant beds in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Government is continuously monitoring the evolving situation of Covid-19 in the Union Territory and is providing all necessary support towards effective containment of the spread of Covid-19 and better clinical management of positive cases.
