Covid-19:- 08 patients die, 626 test positive in J&K

Total cases 101,594, 1,574 deaths; recovery rate over 92 percent in UT

Srinagar, Nov 13 : Jammu and Kashmir Friday recorded 08 Covid-19 related deaths taking the death toll to 1,574 in the Union Territory while 526 positive cases were reported taking the tally of positive cases to 101,594 in J&K

Of the exact number of 101,594 cases, 61,322 are from Kashmir and 40,272 from Jammu division. Officials told that among 526 new cases, 429 belong to Kashmir division while as 197 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 61,322 including 56,228 recoveries and 1,043 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 40,272 including 38,147 recoveries and 531 deaths.

The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,645 including 4,051 from Kashmir division and 1,594 from Jammu division.

With 551 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 94,375 which is 92.89 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 157 from Srinagar, 158 from Baramulla, 20 from Budgam, 10 from Pulwama, 23 from Kupwara, 13 from Anantnag, 12 from Bandipora, 27 from Ganderbal, 04 from Kulgam and 05 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 197 from Jammu division include 95 from Jammu, 10 from Rajouri, 18 from Udhampur, 10 from Doda, 11 from Kuthua, 07 from Poonch, 07 from Samba, 20 from Kishtiwar, 12 from Ramban and 07 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.

Notably, in the last 24 hours eight persons who were tested positive for COVID-19 have died which include four from Kashmir division and four from Jammu division.

As per media bulletin, patients who have died include two from Srinagar and Baramulla and one each from Ganderbal and Shopian in Kashmir division while as four deaths from Jammu division include two from Udhampur district and one each from Jammu and Doda.

As per officials figures, 21,154 positive cases including 389 deaths and 19,226 recoveries are from Srinagar, 6,814 including 155 deaths and 5,913 recoveries are from Baramulla, 6,409 including 5,995 recoveries and 95 deaths are from Budgam, 4,832 including 4,622 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Pulwama, 4,779 including 77 deaths and 4,256 recoveries are from Kupwara, 4,406 including 4,105 recoveries and 75 deaths are from Anantnag, 4,216 cases including 3,996 and 48 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,896 including 3,552 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,543 including 2,414 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,273 including 2,149 recoveries and 36 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 18,844 including 17,960 recoveries and 276 deaths are from Jammu district, 3,301 including 3,156 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Rajouri, 2,960 including 2,698 recoveries and 35 deaths are from Udhampur, 2,780 including 2,623 recoveries and 50 deaths are from Doda, 2,578 including 2,473 recoveries and 33 deaths are from Kuthua, 2,335 including 2,233 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Poonch, 2,254 including 2,149 recoveries and 25 deaths are from Samba, 2,136 including 1,961 recoveries and 16 deaths are from Kishtwar, 1,727 including 1,627 recoveries and 18 deaths are from Ramban and 1,357 including 1,267 recoveries and 08 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin, 704,936 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 17,063 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 5,645 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 638,881 persons have completed surveillance period and 41,773 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 2,603,471 samples are available.

Out of 2,603,471 the number of samples tested negative stands at 2,591,877 while as 101,594 have tested positive, among them 5,645 persons are active, 94,375 persons have recovered and 1,574 persons have died.
