Jammu, Nov 03: Prominent social activist from Jammu Amandeep Singh Boparai, who made an abortive bid to hoist national flag at PDP office Jammu on Tuesday, was detained the police.

Boparai tried to fix tri-colour at PDP office Jammu, soon after PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti made a controversial statement.

Family members of detained social activist said that a team of police from Gandhi Nagar police station headed by Station House Officer and accompanied by women cops also reached their residence in Sanjay Nagar and detained Boparai.

” Is this a lesson for being nationalist and hoisting national flag,” family members of Boparai told KNO.

Meanwhile, Amandeep Singh has reportedly been taken to Gandhi Nagar police station. Senior police officers refused to comment upon the matter.
