Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Director General SS Deswal has extensively toured in Eastern Ladakh for seven days. ITBP is the frontline defence in the Line of Actual Control in the Ladakh region.
During his 7-Day visit, ITBP DG had been to maximum Border Out Posts, interacted with field commanders of ITBP, Army commanders and over 1,000 jawans to discuss various issues and operational preparedness. SS Deswal commended the dedication of the forces in the toughest terrain and hostile conditions.
During his visit, for the first time in the history of CAPF, ITBP DG Deswal presented insignia, commendation rolls to Himveers for their bravery and steadfastness at various locations of skirmishes in the last couple of months in the region.
IG headquarters Diljit Singh Chawdhary, IG Operations and Intelligence Manoj Singh Rawat, and IG North West Frontier Deepam Seth also accompanied DG ITBP during the visits.(SNN)
