In Jammu & Kashmir, Health Department has issued over 81 thousand golden cards among eligible beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat scheme in Rajouri. AIR correspondent reports that as many as 81,580 golden cards have been issued to the beneficiaries while 303 claims have been settled so far. Besides, under the National health Mission 1,83,075 OPDs, 617 major surgeries and 3,430 institutional deliveries were also performed and under National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, against the target coverage of 900 beneficiaries, 364 patients have been covered and an amount of 5.87 lakh rupees has been paid to 286 patients out of 364 till end of July during the financial year 2020-21.
District Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri Nazir Sheik took a comprehensive review of important health schemes and programmes being implemented in the district and asked the concerned officers to ensure effective implementation of all health schemes to benefit the general public. He also called for generating massive awareness among the masses about these schemes and directed to ensure cent per cent coverage of all eligible beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat by making them aware about its benefits by organizing special camps.
