Anantnag, November 19: Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) delegation led by Vice President Syed Iqbal Tahir on Monday visited various villages of Anantnag.JKPM Vice President interacted with a large section of the people of these villages. The people appraised him about various day to day problems confronting them.
At Wantrag, Kehribal, Rampora and Chek-i-Ishardass village, the people complained about the lack of adequate drinking water supply, poor sanitation and shortage of health centres.
In Anchidora, Aaang, Matipora, Chee and Anzwulla villages, the people highlighted their problems which include electricity shortage and lack of waste disposal. The villagers also demanded immediate take up construction of Maharaja road connecting these villages.
JKPM Leader Advocate Syed Iqbal Tahir said told the people after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in August 2019, the administration was handed over to bureaucracy and in the absence of any elected government, the bureaucracy was working without accountability at the cost of development and administration.
