Public Health Engineering Division Shopian has geared up its executing agencies

Public Health Engineering Division Shopian has geared up its executing agencies to increase men and machinery on all ongoing projects and schemes to ensure timely completion of all projects of Public Health Engineering department under implementation in the district to provide better drinking water facility to the people. While giving details of the works under execution in the district, the Executive Engineer, Irfan ul Islam said that the work on many projects and centrally sponsored schemes is going on rapidly. He said that due to covid-19 we faced many problems but along with District Administration’s permission we were able in getting approval for increasing men and machinery on all ongoing projects to ensure timely completion of these projects.
Executive Engineer said that the department has taken up 35 schemes, 6 projects under NABARD, 18 projects under NRDP and the work on all these projects is going on in full swing and these projects are expected to be completed within the fixed timelines. He said in this way the department of PHE will be able to provide quality drinking water facility to the people of the district. He said that Rangmarg water Supply scheme Sedow is also nearing its completion which will fulfil the long pending demand of the people of area.
Executive Engineer said that the PHE division is also executing many other projects to create new infrastructure in the district to provide better drinking water facility to the whole population of the district. He said that in spite of lockdown period, the department has resumed work even almost on all the projects which were halted due to covid-19 and it has now a new chapter of progress and developing in the district.
