Two killed, two injured in Arnas mishap

Reasi, Oct 30 : At least two persons were killed while two others were injured on Friday after a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Arnas area in Reasi district.

Police in a statement issued to press said that at about 05:30 am, a vehicle (Mahindra pickup) bearing registration number JK20A-7503 was on way from Arnas towards Dhanour.

Police said that soon after the vehicle reached near Dharode, it rolled down and fell into a deep gorge, resulting into on spot death of two persons and injuries to two others.

The deceased persons were identified as Muhammad Abbas, 27, son of Noor Hussain of Dhanour Arnas and Abdul Latief 40, son of Muhammad Kashim of Dhanour Arnas.

Officials identified the injured as Muhammad Shabir, 22, son of Muhammad Farid of Dhanour Arnas and Muhammad Saleem, 25, som of Jalal din of Dhanour Arnas amd said they were immediately shifted to DH Reasi for treatment from where Saleem was referred to GMC Jammu for advanced treatment. 

“The bodies were shifted to PHC Arnas for post mortem. A case in this regard has also been registered at PS Arnas,” officials said.
